After the Christmas weekend, Alexsa and I caught the crappy bug that had been going around. The poor thing looked so horrible I just couldn't take her picture, and honestly, I felt so crappy I didn't even want to deal with the posting of them. Then as soon as we started feeling better, we took the plunge and moved in with my parents. I just can't believe its been a week already! Alexsa and I moved in on the 1st, where we brought over her crib and most of her toys and our clothes. The next day Barry came, and the day after the boys (aka the cats) followed. We're still getting used to not being in our own space, but I think we're all adjusting well, and its been nice to have my mom help so much. She even put her down tonight! This was the first time i was home and didn't put Alexsa down for the night. I have to admit it was hard to let it go. I don't think i'll let that happen too often. :)
Every day we've been remembering things we forgot to pack and either Barry or I would make the trip to bring a few boxes over.(it took 3 days for my deoderant to make the trip! Good thing mom had extra!). Tomorrow we're going to start packing up the rest of the junk that we really don't need but can't bear to get rid of, as well as the stuff we need to keep, but don't need (like our kitchen stuff). I put our couches on craigslist and they sold within 2 days, but we still have to make the exchange. Hopefully most things will fit at Barry's dad's house, who has graciously said we could use his house as storage. This will save us a big chunk of change in storage costs.
Our goal is to have the house rental-ready by Feb 1, but I think we'll just have it ready for the carpets by then, and hopefully use Feb to get the place a renter by March 1. I'm crossing my fingers we'll get a GOOD renter! We're going to use a service so they do a background check, etc.
Other than the sick thing and the moving thing, I really don't have any other excuses. Maybe between now and Feb 9th (Alexsa's 1st Bday!) I'll be better about taking pictures and posting them. Here's hoping!

Blogger Book
I am horrible about updating Alexsa's baby calendar of milestones. I'm probably 2 months behind already... I think "Well, I posted it on Blogger, so at least its documented." And that gives me the excuse to procrastinate more. Another cool thing I wanted to do was print each of her daily photos into an album so later, she could see herself grow up (and that I could remember that she as once tiny and wonderful!). The task of having to print almost 365 photos was daunting. Then I thought "They should give you the ability to publish your blog! I think I'll email Google about that." So yesterday I went to do just that and realized they already have that ability! YES! (Too bad for me, I might've gotten some $$ on the idea, but oh well.) You can go to http://www.blog2print.com/ and print your blog in a nice hardback book! You can even customize it by label and other things. Its about $50 bucks, but what a great way to capture Alexsa's moments for us to look at anytime. I think I'll do this after her 1st birthday as a gift to both me and her. :)

I'm Not Dead, I Swear
Hey all! We're doing well, Alexa is still incubating nicely.
On Nov 6th, work decided to go into hyper drive and has JUST started to slow. Therefore my usual blogging time (when I'm bored at work) became nonexistent. Today I'm making a special stop here just to let you know I'm still alive and doing well, just rediculously busy at work. I'm hoping this short post will encourage me to post a longer update soon. Thanks!!

Tomorrow Teaser
I can't wait until tomorrow!!
This week has just dragged on, and tomorrow, after waiting many, many long weeks, I will(hopefully!) finally have some answers. If all goes well, a LONG post will be in ya'lls near future for your reading pleasure.

TV FX Guy
OK, its my turn.
It seems that a lot of my blogging friends have had to start monitoring their comments due to negative and/or cruel feedback left. This isn't nearly as bad as what y'all have gone through, but its another small example that people don't follow the golden rule of "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all."
Last month, I wrote a post about Bob & Sheri about how I pretty much worshiped them. (Not exactly, but you get the point.) ANYway, today I received a comment from a random guy explaining how much he despises them. Not that I really care what his opinion of Bob & Sheri is, everyone's entitled to theirs... but why would you post a comment that is in direct opposition just for S & G's? Makes no sense to me. I was at least hoping to look at his blog and maybe gain another interesting blog to read (see - me staying positive?) But he doesn't even have one. He's just a rogue Negative Nilly.
Now all i can do is overreact and become hypersensitive... But as Alix says, comments are like crack... and I don't like no bad crack.
Oh well... at least it gives me something to blog about. :)

Slacker
Not you, me.
I have been actually working at work (go fig), so by the time i get home i really don't want to spend more time in front of a computer. I have stories to tell, training to update, and thoughts on the new president, but until I find a few minutes at work (which i hope to today), you can call me a slacker.
So go ahead, I can take it.

Cake Wreck!
I'm totally submitting these to Cake Wrecks. They are moon pies on a stick and were for sale at the bakery at the bazaar. How hideous!!!

Blogger Withdrawal
OK, I think I'm now addicted to blogging. I see people haven't posted in the last 4 hours and i think "Slacker - wait... i used to blog 2-3 times a month..." Hopefully I won't get sick of blogging about training, 'cause w/ no kids, that's about all i got. :)
N-E Way. I didn't post yesterday because it's my church's annual bazaar and it's a HUGE family affair. We were there ALL weekend, less the time i slept and worked out. We did go to the UFC fight on sat night, but i was half asleep anyway, so i count that as sleeping. (Cote vs. Sliva - Cote popped his ACL in the 3rd round - sucks to be him and made for a sucky fight, so it was a waste of awake-ness in my book.)
I'm quite tired, so I'm going to go to bed early and I'll try and post about my training weekend tomorrow - i did some good stuff! (don't let the tension get to you, it's not all that. :))

Who's Bloggin? Aparently, Not Me...
I started blogging because i loved reading friend's blogs and staying in touch, and also because I was so bored at work, i wanted everyone to know it.
That has all changed. Work has become SO BUSY that I'm actually grateful that Barry is playing his GTA 4 so i have the excuse to get on the computer and blog. I actually started this blog on 5/23 at 11:47am... Just to give you an idea.
Sooo....look out, because here comes a plethora. :)

Blog Tutor?
So, i've mainly used my blogging to keep in touch with my friends out of state so i don't feel like i'm so far away. It's been great to hear about the awesome things that go otherwise unsaid for one reason or another and to truly feel like i'm apart of their lives still. However, I wouldn't mind venturing off to read other's blogs and get others to read mine in return. Is there a blogging etequitte that i should know about? Is it ok to comment on other blogs or should you know who they are? Its not like i have anything noteworthy to say to the outside world, but frankly, I like attention and i wouldn't mind having more of it. Maybe it'll give me the courage to start speaking my heart and mind about things that i haven't even been able to admit out loud to myself yet. Any tips?
